I'm grateful to finally have my electric motor back on board and within two days of fishing for Jewfish we have managed to land 10 plus loose some good fish includingone absolute beast!!! Pulling the hooks on a huge jewfish thats fought its way into the middle of the river is pretty heartbreaking but it's what keeps us coming back. I will certainly be putting more time in on these fantastic fish this next few weeks. This recent flush of flooding rain will only help to fire things up. There are opportunities to chase these fish on fly too but only for the most advanced casters as distance is key to increasing opportunities. Ten weights and weighted flies will be the main tackle.
